Practical Tips for Drone Pilots

🌤️

Always Check Weather First

Nepal weather changes rapidly, especially in the hills. Avoid flying in wind above 15 m/s or when storms are forecast.

🔋

Battery Management

Never fly below 20% battery. In cold mountain conditions, batteries drain faster. Always land with enough power.

📡

GPS Signal Check

Wait for at least 12+ GPS satellites before takeoff. Poor GPS lock leads to drift and potential loss of aircraft.

👁️

Visual Line of Sight

Nepal law requires you to maintain visual contact with your drone at all times. Never fly beyond what you can clearly see.

🏔️

Know Your Terrain

Nepal has extreme terrain. Watch for sudden cliff edges, power lines, and mountain winds when flying near hills.

📋

Document Everything

For commercial flights, always carry your permission letter, registration certificate, and operator ID. Inspections happen.
